Sunflower really specializes in quality, interesting selections around the $25-45 mark, but the sub~$30 category is really where we put a lot of energy (and often what we drink after a long day!)
In Oregon it's a bit of an uphill battle to find good deals. The distance and intermediary distributors involved in getting sake from CA and East Coast ports to OR can add anywhere from 10-50% on our wholesale price compared to our neighbors. So we curate very carefully, and insist only on sake we ourselves would drink. Most of our friends can't afford much more than $35, so this is the stuff we recommend the most and take great pride in.
We've got a couple small format in here because it's so good, it's really worth going with a small size and just drinking a bit less when cash is tight.
