A 90 minute class on the Okan Lover sake warming methodology with visiting chef Jo Takasaki and Niida Honke ambassador "Akai" Kohei translating. Includes a discussion and comparison of the various merits of different heating materials (copper, stainless, glass, etc), infusions (ex. spices, citrus), blends, gauging temperature, and identifying the best temperature and vessel for each sake.
Includes an otoshi (snack) from chef Jo.

Ticket?
Your purchase is a 50% deposit toward the class with the balance payable on the day of the class. Cancellations are fully refundable until 2/1, at which point your ticket is transferrable but not refundable. Admission is discounted $10, for a class total of $60 instead of $70, for Fuyu Fest ticket holders (please show ticket QR at checkout so that we can confirm).Â
Limitations:
Admission is limited to guests 21+ only. Basic sake knowledge is encouraged-- ex., what is a junmai-- as it will add context to the lesson, but is not required. Please note that the otoshi is likely to contain dashi, which is bonito (fish) stock. If you are unable to consume dashi, please let us know so that we can ensure a suitable option is available for you.
