Fruity, light, and floral, this Junmai Ginjo is brewed by Taka Yamauchi, maker of Watari Bune. Founded in 1854, the Huchu Homare Brewery is located in the town of Ishioka and is considered a national cultural landmark.
Tastes and feels like: Mineral/schist, orchard fruit: anjou pear, ripe apple, honeydew melon, white peach, spring blossoms, savory backnotes of mushroom and earth. A strong line of acidity and a bit of astringency balances the fruit.
