Why do I stock a vermouth?
Because this is the best vermouth I've ever had, and it will probably never be made again. One of the few happy outcomes from 2020's Oregon wildfire season, Kelley Fox reserved her red wines for brandy distillation and use as a vermouth base. Stephanie Sprinkle, Portland's Champagne and blending expert, collaborated with wild herbs and bitters. Together they made the most beautiful beverage to emerge from the valley in 2020.
It's not cheap, but...compared to her single vineyard releases, it's not a bad deal either. Enjoy every drop, share it with someone special, enjoy it over a few days.
