A beloved piece I am retiring from my personal collection, this mid-1800s, late Edo period sometsuke blue underglaze Imari-yaki (Saga) sakazuki in excellent antique condition. It features a beautiful handpainted landscape design, potter's mark, and a soft sloped shape, lotus flower pattern about the kodai (foot) and is absolutely ideal for enjoying sake.
