Playful, delicate aromatics on the nose: dried flowers, jujube, quince, poached pear, balanced by a creamy tropical lift: soursop, avocado, dragonfruit. On the palate, Yukimuro opens up joyously, expanding in soft round waves, powerful flavor ending in a long trail of late Summer aromas.

This Junmai Daiginjo Genshu sake was matured in a near-freezing room, naturally chilled by a massive pile of snow! A snow-chilled storage room is known as a “Yukimuro," and this method of preservation has been used traditionally in Uonuma for centuries. From the cold of the snow alone, temperature is naturally kept stable at 3 degrees Celsius without the use of electricity. After three years, the sake becomes round and very smooth.
