Antique, authentic red lacquer sakazuki with gold rim

Antique sakazuki set in very good condition. This wide-brimmed style with a prominent foot is typical of celebratory sakazuki.

The color is a true crimson, rich with earthy depth, and in some places the coating is thin enough to see the black lacquer under-layer beneath it. This suggests it isn't of the absolute highest quality (which can be so perfect, that they are almost indistinguishable from plastic!) but I personally prefer the imperfections that reveal the mark of craftsman and woodgrain. 

10.5 cm across, 5cm tall. One or two shallow scratches if you look very closely.
