A lovely and inexpensive set with a squat-bottomed tokkuri, designed to heat directly on a grill grate or hearth. No need for a water bath. This style of tokkuri is also used widely with Japanese spirits such as awamori and shochu.
Decorated with poetic verse, sakura blossoms, and chrysanthemum. Age unknown but likely modern and mass-produced to the last 15-20 years.
